For Parents
The kids asked us to bring this home
One MindfulBytes assignment had students watch how the grown-ups in their house use screens. The conversations that followed are why parents keep asking for a version of the program they can run at home. We're building it with the first families who join.
What we're building
The classroom program teaches children to notice what a screen does in their body before, during, and after they use it. The family companion takes the same four skills—digital self-awareness, emotional regulation, intentional use, and threat recognition—and puts them in a parent's hands, in the language the kids already use.
The format, the price, and the first topics are not settled, and that is the point of this page. The families on this list tell us which screen moments at home are hardest, and that is what we build first. You hear about it before anyone else, and you are never charged for joining the list.
Short, not another program
Built for the ten minutes a family actually has, not a curriculum to manage on top of everything else.
In the kids' words
The vocabulary comes from the children in the program. When a child says the screen gives them “digital car sickness,” the companion knows what they mean.
Presence, not prohibition
No screen-time scorecards. The aim is noticing, naming, and choosing—for the adults as much as the kids.

Your email is the commitment. The question is optional, and it is the most useful thing you can give us.
Is MindfulBytes at your child's school?
The classroom program is where the family companion comes from. If your school is not yet a partner, that is a conversation we would be glad to start.
